Malia Kimura, PT, DPT

Dr. Malia Kimura was born and raised on Maui.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology (2000) and a Master of Physical Therapy degree (2002), both from the University of Washington in Seattle.  She also holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2008) from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.  Malia joined Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) in Honolulu as an inpatient physical therapist in March 2003 and was promoted to outpatient clinic supervisor of REHAB’s Kihei clinic in December 2006.  She remained with REHAB until opening Premier Physical Therapy in June 2009.

Malia has a strong interest in manual therapy for treatment of orthopedic conditions and treatment of stroke patients.  She was previous certified as an Aquatic Therapist to teach patients how to get better using the water. Malia enjoys watching movies, being with friends and family, and relaxing when she is not busy growing her practice.


Lisa Gregoire, PT, DPT

Dr. Lisa Gregoire is a physical therapist with a broad range of experiences and is licensed in the state of Hawai’i.  She has been a practicing physical therapist on Maui for 14 years with a focus in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation.  Lisa is a certified Stott Pilates instructor, trained in all the apparatuses and at all levels as well as additional training in Pilates rehabilitation.   She uses her extensive knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology to decrease pain and improve functional mobility through proper movement education. She uses manual therapy which may include IASTM (instrumental assisted soft tissue mobilization) in treatments when needed. In addition, she strives to remain up to date regarding evidence based practice.

Lisa is passionate about what she does and believes that exercise and fitness are necessary for a long, happy, and healthy life. She practices what she preaches.  Lisa is a dedicated mother, Pilates practitioner, health consumer, and loves to read and spend time with her family.


Richard Villanueva, PT, DPT

Dr. Richard Villanueva is a leading and trusted physical therapist specializing in orthopedics and sports performance for all ages. He obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences (FL, 2003), and a Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training/Exercise Science respectively from the University of Hawaii, Manoa (1999, 2001). 

He has served over 10+ years of Active-Duty service in the Air Force as a Clinical Director for numerous Human Performance and Rehabilitation Centers and Physical Therapy clinics in the US, Europe, Asia and Pacific Theaters.  Due to a diverse and eclectic clinical background working with different populations, Dr. Villanueva can offer advanced care for active expedient recovery from musculoskeletal dysfunctions. His treatment philosophy is to improve the well-being and quality- of-life for all in an accelerated manner.
